Current WCS families may re-enroll in February to secure placement for the upcoming school year. Open enrollment for new families begins in March. Completion of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Our website will show grade-level availability and open seats. Applications begin by selecting a grade level (if available) and completing the online application. A $50 non-refundable application fee is due at submission.
If no openings are available, families may complete a form and will be notified if a space becomes available. Again these forms will not be available until March.
Age Requirements
Required Documentation (After Acceptance)
Families must submit the past two years of testing, report cards, attendance records, and any disciplinary reports. If applicable, IEP or 504 documentation is required.
All records are reviewed by administration. Families will then be contacted to schedule an interview with one parent and the student.
Students With IEPs or 504 Plans
WCS accepts students with IEPs requiring speech therapy only. Speech services are provided by the county on campus. WCS does not offer additional IEP accommodations.
For students with a 504 plan, guidelines must be agreed upon by administration and parents prior to acceptance.
Entrance Exams and Assessments
Preschool students participate in a meet-and-greet with an administrator or preschool staff and may complete simple developmental tasks.
Students entering grades K5–12 complete an assessment scheduled by the head administrator following the interview. A $50 testing fee is due at the time of testing.
Enrollment Documents Required
Students participating in athletics must submit both physical forms above.
Campus Tours
Tours and interviews are available by appointment only. Students are required to attend. When you apply online, the tour is included as part of the interview process.
Tuition and Fees
Fees may change for the 2026-2027 school year. A detailed breakdown of current tuition, fees, and other costs is available on our website at Tuition & Fees.
Payment Options
WCS offers a 12-month payment plan (July 1–June 1) and a 10-month payment plan (August 1–May 1). Students enrolling after the school year begins are placed on the 10-month plan.
WCS accepts major credit cards, cash, and checks. Additional payment plan details are available from the office.
Scholarships Accepted
WCS accepts the VPK voucher for instructional hours only. Additional fees apply for full-day enrollment. More information is available at www.elcbigbend.org.
The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship is accepted for grades K–12. Coverage varies based on funding, grade level, and county of residence. Families apply at www.stepupforstudents.org. Any portion not covered by the scholarship is the parent’s responsibility.
School Hours
WCS operates two campuses.
Before and After School Care
Before-school care is available for students in grades 3K–7th from 7:00–7:45 AM. Drop-off between 7:45–8:15 AM is free of charge. After-school care is available from 3:30–6:00 PM.
The secondary campus does not offer before or after care. Teacher supervision is provided from 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.
Transportation
WCS does not provide daily transportation to or from school. Transportation is provided for field trips, secondary chapel days, and athletic practices and games.
Dress Code
WCS does not require uniforms. Students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately. Preschool students must keep an extra set of seasonally appropriate clothing in the classroom.
Dress code guidelines are available in the school office during the summer and in the parent-student handbook, which is provided before the school year begins. Additional information is emailed after acceptance.
Lunch Program
WCS does not offer a daily hot lunch program. Students must bring their own lunch and snacks.
Lunch is eaten under covered pavilions when weather permits or in classrooms during inclement weather. Limited vendor lunches (Zaxby’s, Jimmy John’s, and pizza) are offered for select grades on designated days.
Athletics
Students are eligible to participate in athletics beginning in sixth grade.
Sports offerings are based on student interest and are not guaranteed each year.
